  1. Hi Julie.

So I really liked that little mini-interview with Jackson, but I have one question. Jackson's "I'd really rather" answer sort of surprised me. He never struck me as the kind of guy who would favor kissing over talking... Did I miss something in my reading of "Tempest"? Was Jackson always so... forward?

    1. No, he's not exactly forward just sometimes the whole first kiss with someone can be awkward and he's not very patient and probably wants to get it out of the way sometimes.

Or like he's first date with Holly, they spent a long time talking and then it got weird, he didn't know if he was going to get the friend speech or the opposite and the wait was killing him.

  2. Hi Julie,
I was wondering what made you decide to have Courtney die, I was really crying when she did.

    1. I honestly can't remember what made me decide to give Jackson a dead twin sister, but it became part of his character very early on in the writing process. What happened with Courtney defines him so much. And as soon as I started writing the changes in Jackson and how he is with 007 Holly compared to 009 Holly and the guilt that he carries about leaving Holly bleeding to death in 2009, I knew he needed to go back and be with Courtney even if it doesn't change anything. There's a hint at this idea forming in his mind when he's with 007 Holly in Central Park and he asks her what she would do if she could do something over. He's not ready to face Courtney's death at that point but he's thinking about making up for some of his other lesser moments.
